The Centre for Research in Air & Space Law, Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai (CRASL, MNLU Mumbai), in association with Centre for Aviation and Space Laws, West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (CASL, NUJS Kolkata) and Prof. V.S. Mani Centre for Air and Space Law, Gujarat National Law University (VSMCASL, GNLU Gandhinagar) will jointly host the International Workshop on Space Policy and Roundtable on Indian Space Policy 2023, at Mumbai on 8th<\/span> October 2023. The event shall be graced with the august presence of Hon’ble Justice Shri Sharad Arvind Bobde, former Chief Justice, Supreme Court of India.<\/p>\n

While scholars have raised concerns on the definitional aspect of the ISP, its true test will be reading it along the lines of international treaty obligations. The policy will have to be backed by a Parliamentary enactment to provide an institutional regulatory framework, and to make the policy more effective in nature. The policy is described as a futuristic one that will boost the Indian Space Sector in the 21st century. The Roundtable in this event will provide a platform to discuss and deliberate on the Indian Space Policy and its future directions. The EBC and SCC Online are the knowledge partners of this event.<\/p>\n

The Workshop entails roundtable discussions and paper presentations. There will be 4 panels in it, with 5-6 papers per panel, so that the presenters and discussants get adequate time for a fruitful engagement. The papers will be selected on a competitive basis, and will be published in the upcoming issue of the Indian Review of Air and Space Law. The brochure for this event has been attached herewith<\/a>.
