bold;\">&#8220;<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">A historic achievement<\/span>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Bill was passed by Lok Sabha on 20-9-2023 with a ratio of 254:2 and on 21-9-2023, the bill was laid on the table of Rajya Sabha for approval.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The entire Upper House unanimously stood united in passing the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Constitution (One hundred and Twenty-eighth Amendment) Bill, 2023<\/span> with 214 votes in favour of the Bill.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The motion was adopted by a majority of the total membership of the house and by a majority of not less than 2\/3<span style=\"vertical-align: super;\">rd<\/span> of the members of the house that were present and voting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Chairperson, Rajya Sabha, considered the request of Ministry of Law and Justice to pass the bill in Rajya Sabha the same day by waiving off the requirement of 2days notice period under Rule 123 of Rules of Procedure &amp; Conduct of Business in the Council of States, Rajya Sabha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The name &#8220;<span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, 2023<\/span>&#8221; was given to this Constitutional Bill by the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The reservation will be implemented once the exercise of delimitation is completed following the first census after the commencement of the
