{"id":302088,"date":"2023-09-21T18:30:05","date_gmt":"2023-09-21T13:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=302088"},"modified":"2023-09-25T17:49:51","modified_gmt":"2023-09-25T12:19:51","slug":"6th-amity-national-adr-tournament-organised-by-adr-society-on-5th-and-6th-october","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2023\/09\/21\/6th-amity-national-adr-tournament-organised-by-adr-society-on-5th-and-6th-october\/","title":{"rendered":"6th Amity National ADR Tournament [5th and 6th October, 2023]"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The ADR Society of Amity Law School Noida announced the <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">sixth edition<\/span> of the prestigious <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Amity National Alternative Dispute Redressal Tournament 2023<\/span>, scheduled on the <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">5th and 6th of October 2023<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Amity Law School Noida, (ALSN)<\/span> an institution of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Amity University, Uttar Pradesh<\/span>, not only focuses on legal aptitude but also on practicality, while enlightening the students on the intricacies of the law. It is fully geared to provide its students with innovative and stimulating exposure. The high standards of legal education integrate their legal concepts with an incisive and practical understanding of the law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">This event would be a great opportunity for all law students (Currently pursuing a five-year integrated course, three-year LLB or LLM).<\/p>\n<p>The brief of the sub-events is as follows: &#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&gt; <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">The Med-Arb &amp; Arbitral Award Writing Competition<\/span> &#8211; It is a hybrid of Mediation and Arbitration. Each team will consist of 2 participants. A neutral party is adopted for mediation and if failed the party must go for Arbitration. The arbitrator of each team will deliver a simulation of how an arbitral award should be written within the stipulated time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&gt; <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">Negotiation competition<\/span> &#8211; Each team will consist of 2 participants one will be the attorney and the other being the client, who will negotiate the differing party in the most adept manner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">&gt; <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">Client Counseling Competition<\/span> &#8211; Each team shall consist of 2 members. The Competition simulates a law office consultation in which two law students, acting as lawyers, are presented with a hypothetical dispute brought before them by a client-actor.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">Eligibility criteria<\/span>: &#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&gt; Maximum two teams from each college\/institute are allowed to participate in each sub-event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">&gt; The participants shall be students from any year\/semester of the three or five-year LLB course or LLM from any Law College\/Institute.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">Participant\u2019s Guide: &#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&gt; The registration fee is <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">Rs. 2000\/- per team (without accommodation).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&gt; Each college participating shall mandatorily take part in all 3 above-mentioned events to be eligible for the ADR Tournament Trophy.
