Prof. (Dr.) Harpreet Kaur has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of National Law University Jodhpur. Prior to assuming the role of VC at NLUJ, Prof. Kaur served as the Registrar of National Law University Delhi.<\/p>\n

Prof. Kaur has more than 20 years of teaching and research experience. Her qualifications include M.Sc., LL.B, LL.M, and LL.D (Doctor of Laws).<\/p>\n

She has co-authored textbooks on different areas of law with Dr. Avtar Singh namely, Introduction to Jurisprudence, Introduction to Interpretation of Laws, Introduction to Industrial and Labor Laws, Transfer of Property Act, Laws of Torts and Supreme Court-Income Tax Judgments and a textbook on Competition Law published by EBC Publishers, 2012. Moreover, she has edited a book on ‘Facets of Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility in India published by Springer and ‘Women and Entrepreneurship in India’ published by Routledge in 2021. Her co-edited Handbook on ‘Shareholder Engagement and Voting’ has been published by Cambridge University Press in 2022.<\/p>\n

Prof. Kaur had been a Professor of Law in NLU Delhi since 2011. She teaches Company Law, Securities Regulations and Competition Law and also taught Law of Insurance and International Business Law at NLU Delhi. Moreover, she is a visiting faculty to the Faculty of Law, University of Bergen, Norway.<\/p>\n

She was a Fulbright Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Scholar at Emory Law School in 2021 and has been earlier a Fulbright Scholar in Residence at Miami Dade College in 2016. She served as Chair Professor of Indian Studies on Rotating Chair established by Indian Institute of Cultural Affairs at Faculty of Law, Leibniz University, Germany in 2015.<\/p>\n

She had assumed the charge of Registrar of NLU Delhi in Jan, 2022 and had previously been Professor and Dean at the Institute for Integrated Learning in Management — Graduate School of Management, Greater Noida before joining NLUD. She has developed and taught interdisciplinary courses on law for managers from different streams of management education, including international business laws and the legal aspects of retail and banking businesses.<\/p>\n
