About<\/p>\n

Journal for Law and Justice (JLJ)<\/span> is a flagship student-run journal of the Law Centre-II, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, with the prime objective of promoting academic research and fostering legal acumen on contemporary legal issues. The publication of this legal journal of Law Centre – II is an earnest attempt to provide an effective research tool by sparking scholastic conversation among a diverse group of academicians, judges, jurists, practitioners, students, activists, scholars and prominent thinkers.<\/p>\n

Types of Submissions that would be accepted:<\/p>\n

The JLJ invites scholarly, original, unpublished articles, case notes and legislative comments, for its upcoming issue of Vol. I (2023)<\/span> from legal scholars and researchers. The submissions may fall under the following categories;<\/p>\n

✤ Long Articles (5000-8000 words)<\/p>\n

✤ Short articles (3000-5000 words)<\/p>\n

✤ Case Notes and Legislative comments (1500-3000 words)<\/p>\n

Suggested Themes:<\/p>\n

The Call for Papers is open for the following topics:<\/p>\n

✤ Current issues of legal significance, both at the national and international level,<\/p>\n

✤ Recent developments and judicial pronouncements in the field of law,<\/p>\n

✤ Comparative law and legal systems<\/p>\n

✤ Interdisciplinary legal studies<\/p>\n

The papers should be analytical and critical, and should provide a comprehensive overview of the relevant legal aspects and implications.<\/p>\n

General Instructions<\/p>\n

✤ All works must be original and unpublished, and must not be pending for review before any other journal. Any form of plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.<\/p>\n

✤ A maximum of two authors are allowed for a submission.<\/p>\n

✤ While authors are advised to adhere to the word limits of each category, the journal may be flexible on the word limit depending on the quality of the article.<\/p>\n

✤ Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts on current legal issues. Pieces scrutinising sub judice matters will be preferred.<\/p>\n

✤ Authors are requested to employ gender-neutral language as much as possible.<\/p>\n

✤ The decision on the acceptance of the manuscript for publication vests with the JLJ Editorial Board, which is final.<\/p>\n

Format<\/p>\n

✤ The first page of the manuscript should only contain the title of the paper followed by 200-250 words abstract. The second page should commence with the main body of the manuscript.<\/p>\n

✤ Submissions should be in Times New Roman, font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing, justified text and 1-inch margins on all sides of the A4 sheet.<\/p>\n

✤ Footnotes in Times New Roman typeface, font size 10, with 1.0 line spacing. All headings must have uniform formatting.<\/p>\n

✤ Footnotes should be placed at the end of quotation or sentence. When referring to a specific word or phrase, the footnote number should be placed directly after the word or phrase.<\/p>\n

✤ Footnotes should conform to the 21st Edition of The Bluebook ‘a Uniform System Of Citation’ Rules.<\/p>\n

✤ Please note that submissions with endnotes will be rejected.<\/p>\n

✤ For submissions involving empirical research, authors must submit relevant datasets along with the article.<\/p>\n

✤ All headings must have uniform formatting.<\/p>\n
