The Right to Information is an essential tool in promoting transparency, accountability, and participatory governance. As the world evolves, the role and impact of RTI on legal systems and governance mechanisms are continuously evolving, making it essential to explore and understand these changes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The book will be a compilation of well-researched and thought-provoking contributions from scholars, researchers, and practitioners from diverse legal and interdisciplinary backgrounds. It will serve as an invaluable resource for academics, policymakers, legal professionals, and anyone interested in the dynamics of law, governance, and policy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">PUBLICATION AND REVIEW PROCESS:<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">All submissions will undergo a rigorous peer-review process by an expert panel of reviewers. Authors will be notified of the review outcomes and suggested revisions, if any, to ensure the highest quality of content. Selected papers will be published in the book, which will be made available in print and digital formats.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ABOUT THE PUBLISHER:<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law is a leading institution of legal education and research in India. The university is committed to promoting interdisciplinary research and academic excellence in the legal domain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Research papers should pertain to the conference theme.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Participants shall be required to submit an abstract of around 350 words on or before 25th September, 2022.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Abstract shall also contain, name of the author\/authors, email Id of the author\/s, contact number and designation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Full paper should not exceed 6000 words. It shall be typed in in Times New Roman, Font Size 12 on A4 size paper with 1&#8221; margin on all sides with 1.5 line spacing using MS Word.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Abstract and Research Papers should be emailed to <a href=\"mailto:caslw@rgnul.ac.in\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">caslw@rgnul.ac.in<\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Citations shall be strictly in accordance with the Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities, 4th Edition.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">University may publish accepted papers. Publication of papers shall be the exclusive discretion of the University.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">THEME:<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The &#8216;Right to Know is the Right to Live&#8217;. Transparency and access to information is pivotal to the functioning of a democracy. An informed citizen is an empowered one. For this one should have free, unfettered access to information. The jurisprudence of Democracy revolves around the pure concept of &#8216;accountability&#8217; which can only be achieved if people in authority and power are subject to public gaze and speculations. Vast powers vested with the public authorities has led to maladministration, misuse of power and corruption, which necessitated the introduction of Right to Information Act, 2005.
