Bombay High Court:<\/b> In a writ petition filed by the Anganwadi Karmachari Sanghatana seeking replacement of non-functional handsets with smart phones compatible with the Poshan Tracker app, the Division Bench of G.S. Patel and Neela Gokhale, JJ., reprimanded the Government for the delay and advised them to prioritize the matter.<\/p>\n

In the matter at hand, Anganwadi workers couldn’t receive an incentive as they could not enter the data due to the non-functional handsets or mobile phones provided to them.<\/p>\n

The Court criticized both the State and Central Government for the delay and directed them to correct the process beginning with procuring, taking delivery and distributing functional mobile phones and handsets compatible with the Poshan Tracker app to the Anganwadi workers. The Court further advised the Government to prioritize this matter and not to bring a situation compelling the Court to fix a timeline for the completion of the instant task.<\/p>\n
