Indian Law Society’s Centre for Arbitration and Mediation, Pune announces 40-hours Online Mediator Training Programme<\/span> from 8th July to 16th July 2023.<\/p>\n

About the Institute<\/p>\n

The ILS Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (ILSCA)<\/span> was established on 3rd December 2016 by the Governing Council of the Indian Law Society. The Centre has state-of-art infrastructure and facilities for holding ad-hoc Arbitration and Mediation and Institutional Arbitrations and Institutional Mediations, both in domestic as well as International commercial situations.<\/p>\n

One of the main purposes of establishing this Centre is to provide training to students of law, legal professionals and others who are interested in learning the process of Arbitration and Mediation through training programmes. Arbitration and Mediation have gained immense popularity as effective modes of dispute settlement in the recent years. This calls for good training in the procedures and nuances of Arbitration and Mediation not only for people in the legal fraternity, but also for people of other professions. Under the COVID Pandemic, ILSCA has geared up to provide online training programmes in Arbitration and Mediation catering to lawyers, students of law, leading businesses and legal institutes. ILSCA intends to bridge the gap between theory and practice through online training programmes in both these areas which are gaining great importance in the legal profession. To this effect, we now announce the 40-hours Online Mediator Training Programme<\/span>.<\/p>\n

About the Mediator Training Programme<\/p>\n

ILSCA’s 40-hours Mediator Training Programme has now been recognised by the prestigious International Mediation Institute, Netherlands (IMI) as a Certified Mediator Training Programme<\/span> (CMTP) to deliver training in-person and online.<\/p>\n

Advantages of undergoing IMI certified training Programme<\/p>\n

Participants who successfully complete the mediator training with the ILSCA will be eligible to become IMI Qualified Mediators should they choose to apply for such recognition with IMI, after they complete the programme successfully. This is to keep the interested participants to note that IMI does not deliver any training directly. Training is delivered via IMI Certified Mediator Training Programs. These programs are vetted and assessed against the independent standards for training and assessment established by IMI. In addition to this the participants after successful completion of Mediator Training, automatically become eligible for certification by the Singapore International Mediation Institute.<\/p>\n

This Programme aims to equip the participants with the basics of mediation process and establish a standard body of skills and knowledge which will provide them with the right introduction to mediation and accreditation to qualify as efficient mediators. The Programme has been designed in line with the Mediation Training Manual of India and also bearing in mind the circular<\/a> by the Bar Council of India dated 13.08.2020. The course seeks to provide the participants with an in-depth understanding of the mediation process and equip them with the skills required to pursue a career in mediation.<\/p>\n
