Supreme Court:<\/b> In an application seeking interim bail in Mansukh Hiren murder case for the former Encounter Specialist Pradeep Rameshwar Sharma to attend to the treatment of his ailing wife, the vacation Bench consisting of Aniruddha Bose and Rajesh Bindal, JJ. released him on bail for 3 weeks and listed the matter for next hearing on 26-6-2023.<\/p>\n

The instant application arose against the judgment and order passed Bombay High Court in Pradeep Rameshwar Sharma<\/i> v. National Investigating Agency<\/i>, 2023 SCC OnLine Bom 187<\/a> on 23-1-2023 rejecting application for bail by Pradeep Rameshwar Sharma. Earlier, the Special Court (NIA), Greater Mumbai had also rejected Pradeep Sharma’s application for bail in the same matter involving offences punishable under Sections 120-B<\/a>, 201<\/a>, 302<\/a>, 364<\/a> and 403<\/a> of the Penal Code, 1860<\/a> (‘IPC’), Section 25 of the Arms Act and Sections 16, 18 and 20 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 2004.<\/p>\n

The Court considered the medical certificate issued by Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai on 27-5-2023 advising Pradeep Rameshwar’s wife to undergo reversal of the Gastric Bypass surgery. It allowed the instant bail application and released Pradeep Rameshwar Sharma on interim bail for 3 weeks to attend to his wife’s treatment, subject to conditions imposed by the Trial Court.<\/p>\n

The instant matter has been listed on 26-6-2023 while the Court required Pradeep Rameshwar Sharma to furnish a medical report disclosing depicting progress in his wife’s treatment.<\/p>\n
