The Confederation of Alumni for National Law Universities (CAN) Foundation is inviting applications for the Fourth Edition<\/span> of Project Dhananjay.<\/p>\n

About the Project:<\/span> Project Dhananjay aims at helping young law graduates who are meritorious, yet in need of economic assistance, and who wish to enter the field of litigation, driven by a passion to serve society as lawyers on the field. It provides aspiring and talented law graduates from economically weaker families, with an \u2018incubation period\u2019<\/i> for setting up their practice. Scholars are selected after a month-long selection process. The monthly stipend provided to them is meant to act as a mode of \u201csustenance allowance\u201d for the initial 1-2 years of the scholar’s legal practice.<\/p>\n

In the previous edition year, a monthly stipend between Rs. 15 thousand to 20 thousand was granted to four meritorious graduates from four different National Law Universities (NLUs).<\/p>\n

In its previous editions, a total of 13 have been provided with support under this initiative so far. Under its Fourth Edition, 4-5 meritorious students of NLUs from economically weaker families would be given a monthly stipend for at least one year of their legal practice.<\/p>\n

Eligible Candidates:<\/span> The Applicant must have graduated with a B.A. LL.B. Degree (or any other similar 5-year integrated law undergraduate program) from any National Law University in the academic year 2021-22 or any year thereafter. Candidates graduating in June 2023 or thereafter in the year 2023, are also eligible to apply under this Project.<\/p>\n

The last date for sending the duly filled applications is 7th May, 2023, 1700 HRS (IST)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Mode of Application:<\/span> The Candidate must register on the official website of the CAN Foundation \u2013 www.canfoundation.in<\/a> \u2013 through the link provided on the \u2018Project Dhananjay\u2019<\/span> page. The registration must be done on the website by necessarily furnishing all the heads of the required particulars. Applications of unregistered candidates (without Registration Numbers) shall not be entertained. The candidate must thereafter fill up the google form.<\/p>\n
