The Court gave additional directions for Judgment writing to all the Courts and Tribunals.<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><b>Also Read<\/b>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2023\/04\/15\/sc-set-aside-conviction-order-of-bsf-commandant-upholds-pension-benefits-legal-research-legal-news-updates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8216;Pension cannot be denied dehors the authority of law&#8217;; SC sets aside BSF Commandant&#8217;s conviction, allows him to retain superannuation benefits<\/a><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The impugned Judgment before the Court was a certified copy obtained from the High Court; however, it was not numbered paragraph-wise.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"color: #632423;\">Supreme Court&#8217;s Directions:<\/h4>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Placing its reliance on <i>Shakuntala Shukla<\/i> v. <i>State of U.P.<\/i>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink\/lE4gGuRG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2021 SCC OnLine SC 672<\/a> and <i>SBI<\/i> v. <i>Ajay Kumar Sood<\/i>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink\/s92EuS8z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2022 SCC OnLine SC 1067<\/a>, the Court directed that all Courts and Tribunals, as a matter of practice, must number paragraphs in all Orders and Judgments in seriatim.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Secretary-General was further directed to circulate the additional directions in the Judgment to the learned Registrars General of all High Courts, to place the same before Hon&#8217;ble the Chief Justices, to consider adoption of a uniform format for Judgments and Orders, including paragraphing.
