The notification read as &#8220;<i>In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Ramesh Sinha, Judge of the Allahabad High Court, to be the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office<\/i>&#8221;.<a id=\"fnref0\" href=\"#fn0\" title=\"1. Times of India\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a> Justice Ramesh Sinha as Chief Justice succeeds <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2023\/03\/10\/the-chief-justice-of-chhattisgarh-high-court-justice-arup-kumar-goswami-retires-today-legal-news-know-thy-judge-research-law\/\">Justice Arup Kumar Goswami<\/a> who retired earlier in March.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #ff0000;\">Education and Career Trajectory <a id=\"fnref1\" href=\"#fn1\" title=\"2. Allahabad High Court\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Born on 05-09-1964, Justice Ramesh Sinha obtained his degree in law from Allahabad University in 1990 and got enlisted as an advocate on 08-09-1990. At the Allahabad High Court, he dealt with both criminal and civil matters. He was elevated to the Allahabad High Court on 21-11-2011, and he was accorded permanent status on 06-08-2013.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">On 09-02-2023, the Supreme Court collegium recommended the appointment of Justice Ramesh Sinha, senior judge of Allahabad High Court as Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court following the retirement of Justice Arup Kumar Goswami.
