As Justice Shrivastava retires today as Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court, it is only appropriate that to take look back at his life and career to see that what made him an integral part of the legal fraternity. <\/p>\n<h4 style=\"background-image: linear-gradient(to left, #FFFFFF, rgb(121, 164, 210));\">Early Life and Advocacy<\/h4>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Justice Prakash Shrivastava was born on 31-03-1961. He was enrolled as an advocate on 02-02-1987 and focused his practice in the field of Taxation Law, Civil Law and Constitutional Law in the Supreme Court of India.<a id=\"fnref1\" href=\"#fn1\" title=\"1. Chief Justice Prakash Shrivastava, Calcutta High Court\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"background-image: linear-gradient(to left, #FFFFFF, rgb(121, 164, 210));\">Judgeship<\/h4>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Justice Prakash Shrivastava was appointed as a Judge of Madhya Pradesh High Court on 18-01-2008 and became Permanent Judge on 15-01-2010.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">On 06-07-2015, he was appointed as the Commissioner for the Welfare of the Victims of Bhopal Gas Leak Disaster for a period of one year by the Central Government<a id=\"fnref2\" href=\"#fn2\" title=\"2.
