the Goa Drone Policy, 2022 recognizing the potential of the drone sector and foreseeing the need to act as a catalyst and enabler in establishing an ecosystem that will allow drone companies to thrive in the State.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">This Policy has enabled to develop the State as a hub for manufacturing, Research &amp; Development, training, repair, and maintenance of drones and having this Policy will also empower the State to fully harness the opportunities offered by the drone sector and generate employment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Key Points:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"List&nbsp;Paragraph\" style=\"margin-left: 0.0mm; font-weight: bold;\">Objectives:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"List&nbsp;Paragraph\" style=\"margin-left: 0.0mm;\">to promote drone design, manufacturing, testing and maintenance facilities in the State,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"List&nbsp;Paragraph\" style=\"margin-left: 0.0mm;\">encourage the use of drones for innovative delivery of citizen services with a focus in the areas of agriculture, forestry, horticulture, healthcare, mining and tourism,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"List&nbsp;Paragraph\" style=\"margin-left: 0.0mm;\">to build institutional and academic capacity on drone technology within the State,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"List&nbsp;Paragraph\" style=\"margin-left: 0.0mm;\">to support &#8216;Make in India&#39; initiatives in drones and drone component manufacturing,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"List&nbsp;Paragraph\" style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">to generate employment opportunities for &#8216;Goans&#39;.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"List&nbsp;Paragraph\" style=\"margin-left: 0.0mm;\">The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">vision <\/span>of this policy is<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> <\/span>to position Goa as one of the key states in India&#39;s drone ecosystem, harnessing the opportunities to promote manufacturing, sustainable innovation, generate employment and provide value added services in the State.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"List&nbsp;Paragraph\" style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The policy will be in operation for 5 years.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">On 25-8-2021, the Ministry of Civil Aviation notified &#8220;The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink.aspx?q=JTXT-9000906687\">Drone Rules, 2021<\/a>&#8221; which applied to all drones
