{"id":280340,"date":"2022-12-24T10:00:14","date_gmt":"2022-12-24T04:30:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=280340"},"modified":"2022-12-23T19:38:27","modified_gmt":"2022-12-23T14:08:27","slug":"supreme-court-organise-first-hackathon-filing-listing-matters-idea-suggestions-legal-updates-news-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2022\/12\/24\/supreme-court-organise-first-hackathon-filing-listing-matters-idea-suggestions-legal-updates-news-research\/","title":{"rendered":"In search for innovative ideas on improving filing &#038; listing system, Supreme Court gears up to organise its first ever \u2018Hackathon\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a first for the Supreme Court, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2022\/11\/09\/justice-dr-d-y-chandrachud-takes-the-reins-as-the-50th-chief-justice-of-india-know-thy-chief-justice\/\">CJI Dr DY Chandrachud<\/a> has directed the Supreme Court Registry to <a href=\"https:\/\/main.sci.gov.in\/pdf\/Notice\/hackathon_notification.pdf\">organise a `Hackathon\u2019<\/a> event for identifying innovative ideas and exploring practical propositions for refining and bringing in efficiency in the existing processes from `filing\u2019 to `listing\u2019 of judicial matters in the Supreme Court of India.<\/p>\n<p>The event, that will be organized under the supervision and guidance of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2020\/12\/26\/know-thy-judge-justice-sanjay-kishan-kaul\/\">Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul,<\/a> will take place on 07.01.2023.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Stakeholders and duty holders \u2013 Who can participate?<\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">(i) Members of the Supreme Court Bar Association;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">(ii) Members of the Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">(iii) Members of the e-Committee, Supreme Court of India;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">(iv) Officers\/Officials of the Registry of the Supreme Court of India; and<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">(v) Law Clerks-cum-Research Assistants working in the Registry of the Supreme Court of India.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Submission of suggestions\/ideas:<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Date<\/strong><\/span>: From 24.12.2022 to 30.12.2022<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Link for submission:<\/span><\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/main.sci.nic.in\/hackathon\/\">https:\/\/main.sci.nic.in\/hackathon\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Process:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stakeholders and duty holders can submit their suggestions\/innovative ideas online through link <a href=\"https:\/\/main.sci.nic.in\/hackathon\/\">https:\/\/main.sci.nic.in\/hackathon\/<\/a>. These suggestions\/innovative ideas should be within the ambit of the provisions of the Supreme Court Rules, 2013.<\/li>\n<li>After scrutiny of the responses, a Screening-cum-Selection Committee will identity the best 18 suggestions\/ innovative ideas and the selected participants would be invited to make presentation during the Event.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Event<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Date<\/span>: <\/strong>07.01.2023<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Venue<\/span><\/strong>: Multipurpose Hall, 2nd Floor, Block-C, Additional Building Complex, Supreme Court of India, New Delhi<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Process:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The event would be divided into two sessions. Six participants would make presentation in the first session and twelve participants in the second session. In the presentation, the participant may demonstrate as to how his\/her vision and proposition will bring systemic changes to achieve the desired objective.<\/li>\n<li>Each participant would be allotted maximum ten minutes for presentation of the proposition and further five minutes for interaction-cum-question\/answer session with the Screening-cum-Selection Committee and J<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2020\/12\/26\/know-thy-judge-justice-sanjay-kishan-kaul\/\">ustice Sanjay Kishan Kaul<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The participant with best proposition would be selected as the `Winner\u2019 and another participant as `Runner Up\u2019.
