AIM AND PURPOSE<\/p>\n

The Surana & Surana & UILS National Environment Law Moot Court Competition has been envisaged with the aim of creating opportunities for learning the development of jurisprudence on emerging trends in Environment Law besides developing cutting edge skills in research, writing and advocacy.<\/p>\n

Further, it is aimed at facilitating the evolution of Environment Law through jurisprudential analysis of the existing law and consequential emergence of new laws.<\/p>\n

VENUE AND DATE<\/p>\n

The 5th Surana & Surana & UILS Environment Law Moot Court Competition, 2022-23 shall be held from 20- 22 January 2023 at University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh.<\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/p>\n

The competition is open for students pursuing bachelors in law in either three year or five year course during the current academic session<\/p>\n

Registration<\/p>\n

Online registrations are open from 9th December, 2022. The teams must register online by 30th December 2022. Teams will have to register online at www.moot.in<\/a> and send the soft copy of registration form at uils.surana2022@gmail.com<\/a>. The teams will be registered on first-come-first serve basis with the maximum of 20 teams.<\/p>\n

Participants will receive an automated system generated acknowledgement on successful submission of registration. Participants will receive an approval as acceptance of their request for participation latest by 31st December 2022 or earlier<\/p>\n

Option 1 \u2013 The Registration form cum Approval letter as provided in the rules duly signed & sealed by your university \/ college \/ moot society.<\/p>\n

Option 2 \u2013 Upload both (i) & (ii) as described below together as a single PDF<\/p>\n

(i) The Registration form cum Approval letter (without seal & signature) as provided in the rules duly filled along with<\/p>\n

(ii)Scanned copy of authorisation letter with sign and seal from your university \/ college \/ moot society<\/p>\n

or<\/p>\n

An email communication from the official id ( to be filled as notification email id during online registration process) of the institution, from your university \/ college \/ moot society to complete the registration process.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/p>\n

Signatories on the registration form should be any of the following :- Faculty- in-charge of MCA \/ MCS \/ MCC, Registrar, Dean, Principal, Director,<\/p>\n

Chancellor or Vice-Chancellor<\/p>\n

Registration without the scanned copy of the approval letter \/ an email communication from the college\/institution\/university or duly attested registration form will not be valid.<\/p>\n

c. Registrations without a copy of the approval letter from the college\/institution\/university or duly attested registration form will not be valid.<\/p>\n

d. Soft copy of the registration and approval letter\/ an email communication as a single PDF to be sent by email to: uils.surana2022@gmail.com<\/a> marked as 5TH SURANA & SURANA AND UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF LEGAL STUDIES NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL LAW MOOT COURT COMPETITION REGISTRATION as the subject of the mail latest by 30th December 2022. The provisional team code shall be allotted to the registered teams by Host University soon after receiving of registration particulars.<\/p>\n

e. On receiving the provisional team code from the moot committee\/society of UILS you may proceed to pay the registration fees.<\/p>\n

f. A registration fee of Rs. 4000\/- is to be paid online by 30th December 2022 at: Director, UILS<\/p>\n

In the event a team drops out of the competition or is disqualified the team next in line as per registration data (When the registration exceeds beyond the permitted teams) will be offered the chance to participate in the competition at short notice. Such teams will have to submit memorials to be eligible at least 2 days prior to the start of the competition.<\/p>\n
