The course is being organized under the aegis of the National Academy of Law Teachers (NALT) and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell. The trainers\/ resource persons will include officials from regulatory authorities, leading insolvency lawyers, insolvency professionals, academics, experts from financial organisations.<\/p>\n<h4>About the Centre for Transnational Commercial Law (CTCL)<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Centre for Transnational Commercial Law at National Law University, Delhi was established in 2016 to advance the study and practice of transnational commercial law. CTCL is an emerging area of law and policy necessitated by cross-border movement of people and business transactions. The foremost aim of CTCL is to provide a focal point for academics, practitioners and regulators through interdisciplinary legal research. The Centre also aims to nurture and encourage the researchers of the future in this important area of law.<\/p>\n<h4>Course Coverage<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt;\">The Course introduces the participants to modules covering topics of-<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Fundamental concepts of insolvency, Corporate Rescue, Development of Insolvency law in India, chief features and objectives of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink.aspx?q=JTXT-0002802178\">Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016<\/a>, Adjudicatory Bodies and appeals;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Key issues and cases under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink.aspx?q=JTXT-0002802178\">IBC 2016<\/a>, Institutional framework and enforcement bodies under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink.aspx?q=JTXT-0002802178\">IBC 2016<\/a>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India, Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process, the committee of creditors, Information Memorandum, Resolution Plan, liquidation process, cross-border insolvency.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">The sessions will run from 10:00 am to 04:45 pm, are expected to be highly interactive, with the instructor making a presentation for around 45-60 minutes. Around 15 minutes are expected to be reserved at the end of each session for Q &amp; A.<\/p>\n<h4>Who should attend<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Practicum is primarily directed towards capacity building of faculty and researchers in law schools, management institutes, departments of economics, commerce, business studies who have inclination and some experience in the area of insolvency.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Practicum will be particularly useful for Government officials, Insolvency Professionals, Lawyers, Company Secretary, in-house counsel, Chartered Accountants, Management Accountants, professionals and managerial personnel managing businesses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">The intake of participants will be to a maximum of 50 participants.<\/p>\n<h4>Event Details<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Duration<\/span> &#8211; 5 days.
