\u201cI am not here to do miracles. The challenges are high. Perhaps expectations are also great. But this is what I tell myself every day that if this were to be the last day of my life, have I left the World a better place?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This is what the 50th<\/sup>\u00a0Chief Justice of India<\/a>, Dr. Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, said, in felicitation function organised by SCBA, while listing out his key focus areas for the next two years on the administrative side. He has, however, made clear that he has no plans on cutting down on his judicial responsibilities as it\u2019s the judicial work that is the most fulfilling aspect of his life and there cannot be any comprises with that.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do believe that the Chief Justice of India or the Chief Justice of a High Court is that first and foremost a Chief Justice is a judge. You will be respected or not respected based on your basic function as a judge.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
