It was established by Professor V.S. Rekhi in the year 1997 and has proven to be a true centre of excellence ever since, creating the best of the legal minds in the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">About the Alternate Dispute Resolution Cell, NLIU<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Alternative Dispute Resolution Cell, established in 2007 is one of the oldest ADR Committees in Asia and has been hosting Asia&#8217;s oldest as well as India&#8217;s largest Mediation Tournament, &#8216;The NLIU INADR International Law School Mediation Tournament, since 2012. The ADRC believes in a \u201clearning beyond the 4 walls of the classroom\u201d approach and encourages students to participate in arbitration, mediation, and negotiation agreements, in order to develop important skills required in the real world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">About the competition<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">The competition shall involve 3 participants from each participating team, viz. the Client, the Counsel, and Mediator. There is no restriction on the number of participating teams, but primarily, one slot shall be offered to every University. The Competition shall span over three preliminary rounds, with each participant playing all the three roles at least once, following which shall be 2 Advanced Rounds (the Semi-Final and the Final).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Important Dates<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt;\">Registration Open- 30 September 2022<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt;\">Last Date for Final Registration- 20 October 2022<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt;\">Last Date for sending Clarifications- 23 October 2022<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt;\">Release of General Information- 27 October 2022<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt;\">Last Date for sending travel plans- 30 October 2022<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt;\">Opening Ceremony and Training Rounds- 4 November 2022<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt;\">Preliminary Rounds I, II, and III- 5 November 2022<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt;\">Semi-Finals, Final, and Valedictory Ceremony- 6 November
