It shall come into force on such a date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.<\/p>\n<p><b>Key Points<\/b>: &#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> Constitution and Establishment of National Board for Anti-Doping in Sports&#8212;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">The National Board for Anti-Doping in Sports consists of &#8212;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p class=\"List&nbsp;Paragraph\" style=\"margin-left: 0.0mm;\">Chairperson (a person of ability, integrity who has at<span style=\"font-style: italic;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> least<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">twenty years&#8217; experience<\/span><\/span> in the field of sport administration or retired eminent athlete).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"List&nbsp;Paragraph\" style=\"margin-left: 0.0mm;\">Two members appointed by the Central Government (a person of <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">at least<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">fifteen years&#8217; experience<\/span> in the field of general administration, medical sciences, law or a retired eminent athlete).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">No person shall be appointed as Chairperson or member of board if involved in management of any International Federation, National Sport Federation Organization, National Paralympics Committee or the government department with responsibility for sport or anti-doping.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Term of Office<\/span> &#8212; Chairperson and members shall be for <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">three years<\/span> or till they attain the age of <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">sixty-five,<\/span> whichever is earlier.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">The National Board for Anti-Doping in Sports will be established to make recommendations to the government on anti-doping regulations. The Board will supervise the activities of NADA (National Board for Anti-Doping Agency).<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p class=\"List&nbsp;Paragraph\" style=\"margin-left: 0.0mm;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Disciplinary Panel and Appeal Panel<\/span>&#8212;The Board will constitute a National Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel for determining consequences of anti-doping rule violations. The Disciplinary Panel consists of a chairperson and four Vice-Chairpersons (all legal experts), and ten members (medical practitioners and retired eminent athletes). <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Prohibition of Doping in Sport and Anti-Doping Rule Violation&#8212;<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Act prohibits athletes, athlete support personnel, and other persons from engaging in doping in sport.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">Violation of anti-doping rules may result in disqualification of results including forfeiture of medals, points and prizes, ineligibility to participate in a competition or event for a prescribed period, and financial sanctions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent:
