Taxpayers can now file NIL GSTR-1 return by simply ticking the checkbox File NIL GSTR-1 available on the GSTR-1 dashboard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span id=\"page3R_mcid52\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Eligibility to file NIL GSTR-1<\/span><\/span><\/strong>: Taxpayers may file NIL GSTR-1 if they have:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>No Outward Supplies (including supplies on which tax is to be charged on reverse charge basis, zero rated supplies and deemed exports) during the month or quarter for which the form is being filed for, or<\/li>\n<li>No Amendments to be made to any of the supplies declared in an earlier form,<\/li>\n<li>No Credit or Debit Notes to be declared\/amended,<\/li>\n<li>No details of advances received for services is to be declared or adjusted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span id=\"page3R_mcid58\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Steps to file NIL GSTR-1:<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span id=\"page3R_mcid59\" class=\"markedContent\"><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Taxpayers shall login to GST portal and navigate to online form GSTR-1 by selecting relevant GSTR-1 period in <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Returns dashboard (Services &gt; Returns &gt; Returns Dashboard &gt; Form GSTR-1 &gt; Prepare Online).<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page3R_mcid60\" class=\"markedContent\"><br role=\"presentation\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"page3R_mcid60\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Select File NIL GSTR-1 checkbox:<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">In the GSTR-1 dashboard, a File NIL GSTR-1 checkbox shall be <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">available at the top. If the taxpayer is eligible to file NIL GSTR-1, they can select the<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">File NIL GSTR-1 <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">checkbox. On click of the checkbox, system will show a note related to NIL filing and all the tiles\/tables <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">shall be hidden.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"page27R_mcid0\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">File Statement:<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">To file Nil GSTR-1, taxpayer need to click File Statement button, which shall be available <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">at the bottom of the GSTR-<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">1 dashboard page. On clicking of \u2018File Statement\u2019 button, taxpayers will be <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">navigated to the filing page to file GSTR-1\/IFF using
