The Reserve <\/span>Bank of India has specified ten crore rupees as net owned fund (NOF) required for following categories of non- <\/span>banking financial companies to commence or carry on the business of non-banking financial institution from <\/span>October 01, 2022:<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/p>\n

(a)<\/span> Non-banking financial company<\/span> \u2013<\/span> Investment and Credit Company (NBFC-ICC)<\/span><\/span>;
(b)<\/span> Non-banking financial company<\/span> \u2013<\/span> Micro Finance Institution (NBFC-MFI)<\/span><\/span>;
(c)<\/span> Non-banking financial company<\/span> \u2013<\/span> Factor (NBFC-Factor)<\/span><\/span>.
<\/span><\/p>\n

Provided<\/span> that<\/span> the<\/span> above<\/span> categories of existing<\/span> non-banking<\/span> financial<\/span> companies<\/span> holding a<\/span> certificate<\/span> of <\/span>registration as on October 22, 2021 issued by the Reserve Bank of India and having net owned fund of less than ten <\/span>crore rupees, shall achieve the NOF of \u20b910 crore a<\/span>s per the following glide path:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
