{"id":265008,"date":"2022-04-05T09:00:44","date_gmt":"2022-04-05T03:30:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=265008"},"modified":"2022-04-05T08:31:34","modified_gmt":"2022-04-05T03:01:34","slug":"exemption-for-vehicles-from-the-requirement-of-use-of-safety-glass-or-safety-glazing-material-for-windscreen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2022\/04\/05\/exemption-for-vehicles-from-the-requirement-of-use-of-safety-glass-or-safety-glazing-material-for-windscreen\/","title":{"rendered":"Exemption for vehicles from the requirement of use of safety glass or safety glazing material for windscreen and window glass"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On March 31, 2022, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways exempts all motor vehicles to comply with the provisions of Rule 100 of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink\/HIo0BCHw\">Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Central Government exempts all motor vehicles including agricultural tractor fitted with cabin, construction equipment vehicle fitted with cabin and combined harvester from the application of rule 100 of the said rules, up to the March 31, 2023 and the manufacturer shall continue to comply with the provisions of rule 100 as existed on March 31, 2021. Rule 100 of CGST Rules provides that the windscreen and window glass of every motor vehicle shall be made of safety glass or safety glazing material.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Any manufacturer who have already compiled with the provisions of rule 100 of the said rules, as existed on April 01, 2021, shall continue to do
