The NUJS HSF Moot took place on the 12<sup>th<\/sup> and 13<sup>th<\/sup> of March 2022 in an online setting. The moot problem was based on contemporary issues in corporate and environmental law dealing with the validity of requisitions and class action suits in India and saw participation from many Indian universities. Chris Parsons (Partner and Chairman of the HSF India Group) and Tomas Furlong (Partner of the HSF India and Singapore group) were among the judges for the final rounds of the moot court competition. This year\u2019s moot problem was drafted by Dr Umakanth Varottil, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law at the National University of Singapore.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The team comprising Anagha Ramdass, Elizabeth Cherian, and Meenakshi Gopakumar, from the second year, representing the <strong>National University of Advanced Legal Studies<\/strong>, Kochi emerged as the Winners of India\u2019s largest corporate moot, XIVth NUJS-HSF Corporate Moot, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">RGNUL wins 3<sup>rd<\/sup> NLU Jodhpur National Deal Mediation Competition<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The third edition of NLU Jodhpur National Deal Mediation Competition was conducted by National Law University, Jodhpur from 4th to 6th March, 2022. The team comprising Chhavi Singla, Wamic Wasim Nargal and Mehvish Alam represented Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law in the competition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The negotiating team consisting of Wamic Wasim Nargal and Chhavi Singla emerged victorious and was declared as the \u2018Best Negotiating Team\u2019. The competition revolved around commercial and business related problems, aimed at imparting an understanding of the practicalities of \u2018mediation without a dispute\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">CNLU wins National Rounds of Leiden Sarin International Air Law Moot Court Competition<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The team comprising of Nidhi Prakriti,\u00a0 Priyansh Priyadarshi and\u00a0 Kushagra Kundan has been declared winners at the National Rounds of Leiden Sarin International Air Law Moot Court Competition and will be One of the two teams representing India at the world rounds.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Christ University wins \u00a05th Annual Jindal Moot Court Competition, 2022<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The team consisting of Rithwick G, Yash Chadha and Joel Jacob has emerged as winners of the 5th Annual Jindal MootCourt Competition, 2022 organized by O.P. Jindal Global University in association with Jindal Initiative on IP and Competition (JIRICO) from 11th-13th March, 2022. The moot proposition was based on Competition Law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The final round of the competition was judged by Samir R. Gandhi, Senior Partner, AZB &amp; Partners, Parthsarathi Jha, Partner, Economic Laws Practice, Deeksha Manchanda, Partner, Chandhiok and Mahajan and Pranjal Prateek, Partner, Khaitan &amp; Co.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Army Institute of Law, Mohali wins 13th NLUJ Antitrust National Moot Court Competition, 2021-22<\/span><\/h3>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">A team from Army Institute of Law consisting of <b>Samridhi Seth<\/b> (4th year), <b>Ranjul Malik<\/b>(2nd year) and <b>Moromi Mudgal<\/b> (4th year) were adjudged as <b>winners<\/b> at the\u00a013th <span class=\"searchHighlight\">NLUJ<\/span> <span class=\"searchHighlight\">Anti<\/span>trust National Moot Court Competition, 2021-22. The team won a cash prize of Rs. 45,000\/-<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">I am also happy to announce that Ranjul Malik also bagged the Best Advocate Award of the final rounds and won a cash prize of Rs. 5,000\/-<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was scheduled from <b>March 11- March 13, 2022 <\/b>and was organized by National Law University, Jodhpur under the patronage of the Competition Commission of India, in collaboration with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The moot proposition was based on contemporary issues in the field of competition law, including the role of sectoral regulators vis-avis the role of the competition authority. It also had challenges issues pertaining to cartelization and abuse of dominance by entities in the automotive manufacturing industry.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">MNLU Mumbai wins\u00a0ELSA Maynooth International Negotiation Competition 2022<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The team comprising Gaurika Jain and Keerti Singh, representing Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai at <span class=\"searchHighlight\">ELSA<\/span> Maynooth International Negotiation Competition 2022, was\u00a0adjudged, <i>Winner<\/i>. Additionally, Keerti Singh won the award of <i>Best Speaker<\/i>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">ILS Law College, Pune wins 7th NLIU- Justice RK Tankha Memorial International Arbitration Moot Court Competition<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ILS Law College, Pune Team comprising\u00a0\u00a0Namita Pandey,\u00a0Aditya Shete,\u00a0Keyur Jaju,\u00a0and\u00a0Gautam Garg secured 1st Rank in the\u00a07th NLIU- Justice RK Tankha Memorial International Arbitration Moot Court Competition 2022.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aditya Shete was also adjudged as the &#8216;Best Oralist&#8217; and will receive an internship opportunity from Allen &amp; Gledhill.
