RGNUL wins 2nd National Moot Court Competition, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n The 2nd National Moot Court Competition was conducted by the Christ (Deemed to be University) Delhi-NCR from March 4th to March 6th, 2022. The team, comprised of Arnav Srivastava, Tanishka Kapoor and Manya, representing Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala, emerged as the winners of the competition. The team also won a cash prize of Rs. 24,000.<\/span><\/p>\n The proposition involved a carefully crafted mix of constitutional issues dealing with the jurisdiction of the High Courts, fundamental rights of citizens as well as a company, and,<\/span> also the administration of Tribunals<\/span>. The final round of the moot was adjudged by the Honorable\u00a0Justice\u00a0A. Muhamed Mustaque\u00a0(Sitting Judge, High Court of Kerala);\u00a0Prof. Dr. Manoj Sinha,\u00a0Director, Indian Law Institute; and\u00a0Senior Advocate Pradeep Rai (Vice-President, Supreme Court Bar Association).<\/span><\/p>\n NUSRL qualifies for the White<\/span> and<\/span> Case<\/span> International Rounds of the 63rd Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition<\/strong><\/p>\n The team from NUSRL, Ranchi comprising of\u00a0Divya Gyan, Himanshu Pathak\u00a0 Samiksha Singh, Saurav and<\/span> Shashwat Mukherjee has qualified for the White<\/span> and<\/span> Case<\/span> International Rounds of the 63rd Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. The team finished as quarter-finalist in the National Qualifier Rounds of the moot conducted by Amity University, Noida. This is the first time that a team from NUSRL has qualified for the International Rounds of the world’s largest and<\/span> most prestigious moot court competition.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n TNNLU wins Vth Surana & Surana and Shaastra IITM IP Law Moot Court Competition, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n The TNNLU team comprising of\u00a0Rakshna\u00a0Natarajan (V Year),\u00a0Abheejit Vijayaraghavan (II Year) and Anurathna Mathivanan (VYear), has emerged as the\u00a0Winners<\/strong>\u00a0of the Vth Surana & Surana and Shaastra IITM IP Law Moot Court Competition, 2022.<\/p>\n Additionally, they have also won the\u00a0Second Best Memorial<\/strong>\u00a0Award and Abheejit\u00a0 Vijayaraghavan, has won the\u00a0Best Student Advocate<\/strong>\u00a0Award.<\/p>\n RGNUL wins 16th Shankarrao<\/span> Kanitkar National Online Moot Court Competition<\/strong><\/p>\n The team comprising Arun Raghuram Mahapatra, Sujatro Roy and Tarpan Soni representing Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab emerged as winners of the 16th Shankarrao Kanitkar National Online Moot Court Competition organized by Progressive Education Society\u2019s Modern Law College, Pune.<\/p>\n The Competition was held on 22nd January, among 18 teams from law schools all over the country. After some grueling and intensely fought prelims and semi-final rounds, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab and Symbiosis Law School, Pune went on to qualify for the final round. The team was also awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000. The moot proposition was based on the constitutionality of farm laws. The students got a chance to navigate through subjects of federalism and powers of constituent units of India and various other related issues including the sensitive issue of the MSP.<\/p>\n NUJS emerged as Semifinalist at the National Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n NUJS<\/span> team comprising Aastha Dhuppad, Abhinav Gupta, Deeksha Viswanathan, Ishita Mundhra, Khushi Joshi, and Mridul Anand has emerged as SEMIFINALISTS at the NATIONAL ROUNDS of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, 2022.<\/p>\n Additionally, Khushi Joshi also bagged the 3RD BEST SPEAKER award at the competition. The team has QUALIFIED for the World Rounds to be held in late March.<\/p>\n GNLU<\/span> finishes as the Runner-Up at the National Rounds of The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n the team representing GNLU at the national rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, 2022, has finished as the Runner-up team and will therefore be eligible to represent\u00a0India at the World rounds which are due to begin on March 24, 2022. In total, the team has\u00a0 bagged the following awards:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The team consisted of Keertana Venkatesh, Keshav Somani, Yash Khanna, Rishab Aggarwal and Bharatt Goel.<\/p>\n This year’s problem was about a referendum.
