Employees&#8217; State Insurance Corporation, notifies\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Employees&#8217; State Insurance (Central) Amendment Rules, 2022 to amend the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink\/5O8b515w\">Employees&#8217; State Insurance (Central) Rules, 1950<\/a>. <\/span><\/span><span id=\"page1R_mcid725\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">They shall be deemed to have come into force on the 20<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">th<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">day of January, 201<\/span><\/span>7.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Key points:<\/h4>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span id=\"page8R_mcid0\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">In the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink\/5O8b515w\">Employees\u2019 State Insurance (Central<\/a><\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">) Rules, 1950, in sub-rule (1) of rule 55,<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"> the following proviso shall be inserted<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page8R_mcid1\" class=\"markedContent\"><br role=\"presentation\" \/><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px; text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"page8R_mcid1\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">\u201cProvided also that in case of an insured woman who is in receipt of maternity benefit and due to <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">reason of which a shorter contribution period is available to her in the contribution period in which the <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">maternity benefit falls, she shall be qualified to claim sickness benefit in the corresponding benefit <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">period if the contribution in respect of her was payable for not less than half the number of days <\/span><span
