justify;\">On February 25, 2022, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has issued notification to mandate the procedure for detailed investigation of road accidents, the Detailed Accident Report (DAR) and its reporting, along with timelines for different stakeholders, for quick settlements of claims by the Motor Accident Claim Tribunal ( MACT).<\/p>\n<p>Further, it has also mandated incorporation of\u00a0 validated mobile number in the Certificate of Insurance.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"page181R_mcid221\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><span id=\"page181R_mcid232\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page181R_mcid233\" class=\"markedContent\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span id=\"page181R_mcid254\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">In the Central Motor<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page181R_mcid255\" class=\"markedContent\"> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Vehicles Rules, 1989, <\/span><\/span><span id=\"page181R_mcid279\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid19\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">the following rule shall be inserted, namely:<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid20\" class=\"markedContent\"> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid21\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid22\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid23\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span id=\"page183R_mcid23\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span id=\"page183R_mcid23\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">\u201c<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid24\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">150A.<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid25\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid26\" class=\"markedContent\"> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Procedure for investigation of roa<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid27\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">d accident.<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid28\" class=\"markedContent\"> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid29\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid30\" class=\"markedContent\"> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">The procedure to be followed for investigation of <\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid31\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">all accidents arising out of the use of motor vehicles shall be in accordance with Annexure<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid32\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid33\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">XIII<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid34\" class=\"markedContent\"> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">and in <\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid35\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">the<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid36\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid37\" class=\"markedContent\"> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">manner of submission and form,<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid38\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid39\" class=\"markedContent\"> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">including<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid40\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid41\" class=\"markedContent\"> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">electronic submission<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid42\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid43\" class=\"markedContent\"> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">on such Portal as may<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid44\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid45\" class=\"markedContent\"> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">be specified.<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid46\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><span id=\"page183R_mcid47\" class=\"markedContent\"> <span dir=\"ltr\"
