{"id":260736,"date":"2022-01-28T12:30:23","date_gmt":"2022-01-28T07:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=260736"},"modified":"2022-01-28T11:23:49","modified_gmt":"2022-01-28T05:53:49","slug":"high-pressure-cylinders-and-cryogenic-containers-used-for-filling-non-toxic-gases-and-liquids-to-have-tamper-proof-markings-vide-gas-cylinders-amendment-rules-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2022\/01\/28\/high-pressure-cylinders-and-cryogenic-containers-used-for-filling-non-toxic-gases-and-liquids-to-have-tamper-proof-markings-vide-gas-cylinders-amendment-rules-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"High pressure cylinders and Cryogenic containers used for filling non-toxic gases and liquids to have tamper proof markings vide Gas Cylinders (Amendment) Rules, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"page1R_mcid234\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">On January 20, 2022, the Central Government notified Gas Cylinders (Amendment) Rules, 2022 to amend the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink\/Bh5CNJpJ\">Gas Cylinder Rules, 2016<\/a>. <\/span><\/span><span id=\"page1R_mcid235\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Key Amendments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span id=\"page7R_mcid0\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">In the Gas Cylinders Rules, 2016, in rule 6 relating to &#8216;Markings on Cylinders, in Sub-rule (2) the following clause shall be inserted: <\/span><\/span><span id=\"page7R_mcid1\" class=\"markedContent\"><br role=\"presentation\" \/><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"page7R_mcid1\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">\u201c(c) All the high pressure cylinders and Cryogenic containers used for filling of Non<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">-Toxic, Non-Flammable Gases <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">and Liquids<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">shall have permanent and tamper proof marking in form of Bar Code or RFID or QR code or any <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">means of electronic identification number at conspicuous place on cylinders and containers.<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page7R_mcid2\" class=\"markedContent\"><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Provided<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">that<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">for<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">the<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">cylinders<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">manufactured<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">before<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">the<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">publication<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">of<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">these<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">rules <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">shall have above said permanent and tamper proof marking, before expiry of six months in case of oxygen <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">cylinders and one year in case of other non-toxic and non-flammable gas cylinders from the date of publication of <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">these rules.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On January 20, 2022, the Central Government notified Gas Cylinders (Amendment) Rules, 2022 to amend the Gas Cylinder Rules, 2016.
