The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has accredited the University with Grade \u2018A\u2019. School\u00a0of\u00a0Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is an institute imparting world-class legal education, not only to students from various parts of the country but also hosts a strong international students\u2019 representation. Over the years, CHRIST has risen to be one of the most prominent institutes in the country. School\u00a0of\u00a0Law, CHRIST has been ranked as one of the Top 20 law colleges in the country by the\u00a0National Institutional Ranking Framework by the\u00a0MHRD\u00a0in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>About the Competition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Alternative Dispute Resolution Board of School\u00a0of\u00a0Law, CHRIST, is gearing up to host its\u00a02nd\u00a0National Online\u00a0Med-Arb\u00a0Competition, 2022 (NOMAC), as a part of its flagship event, the 7<sup>th\u00a0<\/sup>edition of the National\u00a0Alternative Dispute Resolution\u00a0Competition (NADR).\u00a0The past six editions of SLCU-NADR have witnessed us successfully hosting national-level mediation, Negotiation and Client Counselling competitions.\u00a0The 1st edition of the Med-Arb Competition saw 20 different teams from various top law institutes of the country, battling it out to emerge as the winner of the competition.\u00a0The Med-Arb Competition\u00a0is an amalgamation of Mediation and Arbitration wherein Mediation will be followed by Arbitration on the same problem on\u00a0law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The aim of this Competition is to help budding law students to get accustomed to the ADR mechanisms in the legal arena and encourage the proliferation of ADR Mechanisms amongst the legal fraternity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each team will comprise of 3 members in total. The participants\u00a0portraying the role of Client- Counsel in the Mediation rounds will become the Counsels in the Arbitration rounds. The participant portraying the role of a Mediator in the Mediation rounds will become the Researcher in the Arbitration rounds<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Competition will be held from\u00a011<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0February, 2022, to the\u00a013<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0February, 2022.\u00a0The brochure holds detailed information regarding the competition.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Only bonafide undergraduate students of Law Colleges\/Universities pursuing a Three Year\/Five Year Degree in law are eligible to participate in the competition. Participation allotments shall be made on the basis of slots re-served from provisional registration for the respective Law College\/University. The provisional registration to institutes shall be granted on the basis of the College\/ University\u2019s qualifications in ADR activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On confirmation of provisional registration,\u00a0only one team\u00a0representing a Law College\/university can take part in the Med-Arb Competition, i.e. each University\/ College shall be given only one slot for the competition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Team Composition and fee details: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Registration fees: Rs 3000<\/li>\n<li>Members per team:\u00a03\u00a0(1 Mediator-cum-Researcher, Client-Advocate pair for the Mediation Round and the same pair shall be the\u00a0 Counsels for the Arbitration Round)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The link for the registration of the team: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/SGAUHpGWKBHEJCfFA\">HERE<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The deadline for registration of the team, along with the submission of the registration form and payment of the Registration Fees is\u00a0<strong>20th January, 2022 (11:59 pm).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please note that the application process is the same for both, i.e. Mediation and Arbitration rounds.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>University Provisional Application:<\/strong>\u00a0The provisional application is available on our Official blog, Instagram\u00a0and will be sent via mail for universities qualifying the criteria for provisional registration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Team Application Submission:\u00a0The application forms for the teams will be sent via email to individual universities that have registered and shortlisted after the Provisional Registration stage. The teams shall then register for the event through the registration form sent via email.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Registration fee:<\/strong>\u00a0The details regarding the procedure to pay the registration fee will be communicated to the teams who have complied with the rules of the previous stages.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All important dates relating to the competition can be found in the Brochure attached below.
