Manipur High Court:<\/strong> The Kh. Nobin Singh, J., directed that the Respondents shall consider the representation dated 2-12-2021 and dispose of the same within a period of one month. In the abovementioned representation, the petitioners prayed for considering that the posts of Protection Officer and Legal-cum-Probation Officer be included as one of the feeder to the post of the Deputy Director, Social Welfare as well as one of the feeder to the post of the District Social Welfare and Probation Officer. An instant writ petition had been filed by the petitioners praying for a direction to the respondents to consider the same.<\/p>\n

The petitioners hold the posts of Protection Officer and Legal-cum-Probation Office under the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS), Department of Social Welfare (DoSW), Govt of Manipur. The DoSW proposed a prescription where remuneration in respect of seven different categories of staff which was processed and examined in the file wherein the posts of District Child Protection Officer, Protection Officer and Legal-cum-Probation Officer had one and the same remuneration. The Principal Secretary issued an order which sanctioned to the creation of 165 posts of 21 different categories.<\/p>\n

The counsel for the petitioners submitted that instant writ petition could be disposed of by issuing an innocuous order.[Maibam Bharat Meitei v. State of Manipur, 2021 SCC OnLine Mani 420<\/b><\/a>, decided on 14-12-2021]<\/p>\n
