The Ministry of Labour and Employment has extended the public utility service status to services engaged in the uranium industry which is covered under item 19 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, vide notification dated December 8, 2021.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Ministry had earlier granted an extension to the uranium industry for a period of six months, starting from June 19, 2021. Now it has been further extended for another six months with effect from 19th December 2021.<\/p>\n
