Madhya Pradesh High Court:<\/strong> As per the order dated 02-09-2021<\/a> the Court had passed a detailed while raising an expectation from the State Government and its authorities about establishment of State Forensic Sciences University. The Court in furtherance as per the order dated 14-09-2021 considered it appropriate to constitute a committee under the Chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary (Home) alongwith Principal Secretary of Law & Director General of Police as members to look into the matter for taking inputs on best practices from all Universities or Institutions concerned which may be of some help to this cause. It was further directed to constitute a sub-committee consisting of Director Forensic Sciences Laboratory, Sagar, Additional Director General Cyber Crime, Additional Advocate General, Deputy Secretary (Law), Deputy Secretary (Home) and one Senior Professor from Higher Education Department or Medical Education Department as the case may be in which Deputy Secretary (Home) shall act as coordinator of the said sub-committee.\u00a0 Said sub-committee was asked to submit its report to the committee headed by the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) and said Committee would submit its report with its opinion and suggestions before this Court. Finally after two months the report which is detailed, exhaustive and incorporated almost all necessary contours of Concept has been submitted to the Court.<\/p>\n

Anand Pathak, J., noted that recently the Parliament enacted National Forensic Sciences University Act, 2020 (NFSU Act) by which the Gujarat Forensic Sciences University, Gandhi Nagar has been upgraded as National Forensic Sciences University along with Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Sciences, Delhi and said National Forensic Sciences University is agreed in principle to establish its campus in State of Madhya Pradesh which would be called as National Forensic Sciences University (M.P. Campus) with up to 12 schools and 30 courses.<\/p>\n

The Court approved and ratified the recommendations so made by the said sub-committee.<\/p>\n
