The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has notified 3rd November 2021 as the date on which the provisions of Major Port Authorities Act, 2021 shall come into force vide notification dated October 29, 2021.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Act is enacted to provide for regulation, operation and planning of Major Ports in India and to vest the administration, control and management of such ports upon the Boards of Major Port Authorities and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.<\/p>\n
