The NLIU-JBL is a peer-reviewed journal, and is one of the premier journals of the National Law Institute University, Bhopal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"center\"><b>NLIU<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The National Law Institute University (NLIU) was established by Act No. 41 of 1997 of the Madhya Pradesh Legislature to provide modern legal education through multidisciplinary teaching and imparting of up-to-date skills. The University has successfully instilled a sense of social responsibility along with scholastic and reflexive capabilities bearing in mind larger national and humanitarian goals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"center\"><b>CBCL<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CBCL was established as a &#8220;Centre for Excellence&#8221; in 2008 to generate awareness and facilitate research in the field of corporate and commercial laws in India. Since its establishment, CBCL has produced rich research output contributing to the legal discourse in the country in the field of corporate and commercial laws. The Centre, through its various initiatives, provides students with the tools to broaden their horizons and foster a robust foundation for becoming successful legal professionals. Some of our flagship initiatives include the NLIU-Trilegal Summit on Corporate and Commercial Laws, NLIU-Khaitan &amp; Co. Workshop on Corporate Laws, and The CBCL Blog.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"center\"><b>NLIU-JBL<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The NLIU-JBL was conceived with the idea that it would be an efficient platform to foster meaningful research in the arena of business and commercial laws. Through the JBL, our endeavour is to provide students and budding scholars with opportunities to contribute to the intellectual discourse surrounding the field.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The response we have received, despite the inaugural and second volume of the NLIU-JBL only being published online in 2019 and 2020, respectively, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, proves that the Journal is well on its way to achieving its objectives. It is our sincerest hope that the ideas the NLIU-JBL expresses can one day become a reality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In light of the above, we are extremely honoured that Hon\u2019ble Justice Mohammad Rafiq, Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court and the Chancellor of NLIU has graced the NLIU-JBL as its Patron-in-Chief. Furthermore, we are grateful to have Prof. (Dr.) V. Vijayakumar, the Vice-Chancellor of NLIU as the Patron of this Journal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"center\"><b>THEME<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The NLIU-JBL traverses the entirety of business and commercial laws within its ambit. It covers diverse areas, including company law, securities and capital markets law, intellectual property law, law of banking and finance, insolvency and bankruptcy law, taxation law, investment law, competition law, contract law, employment law, commercial aspects of dispute resolution,\u00a0\u00a0and white-collar crimes. NLIU-JBL welcomes original and useful unpublished contributions from students, academicians, and professionals. The submissions are expected to be of contemporary social relevance and must demonstrate high standards of scholarship.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"center\"><b>SUBMISSION CATEGORIES<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Submission may be made to the NLIU-JBL under the following heads:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><i>Long Articles \u2013 4000 &#8211; 7000 Words<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Long articles must be comprehensive and contain a rigorous in-depth analysis of the contemporary problem(s) and idea(s). It should include identification of lacunae in the existing status quo along with alternatives, suggestions, and references to a range of sources.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><i>Short Articles \u2013 2000 &#8211; 4000 Words<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Short articles should rigorously analyze the contemporary problem(s) and idea(s). They should ideally identify lacunae in the existing\u00a0<i>status quo,\u00a0<\/i>provide solutions, alternative suggestions, and should include references to a range of sources.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><i>Case Comments \u2013 2000 &#8211; 4000 Words<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A case comment should be a critique of a recent judgment. The comment should highlight the relevance of judgments to the field of business and commercial laws, in addition to the views, expressed in the judgment, and include the critical opinion of the author.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><i>Legislative Comment &#8211; 2000 &#8211; 4000 words<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The comment should provide a rigorous analysis of a recent legislative instrument. It should examine the objective of the legislation and the legal impact the same is expected to have.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><i>Book Review &#8211; 1000 &#8211; 3000 words<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Book review must be a crisp account of a recently published book dealing with business and commercial laws. It should discuss the issues explored and left unexplored and the related arguments of the author<i>.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">*<i>Word limit is inclusive of footnotes but exclusive of the abstract. Kindly adhere strictly to the word limit prescribed.<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"center\"><b>SUBMISSION GUIDELINES<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Submission is expected to be of high academic quality, and must comply with the prescribed substance, formatting, and citation standards.
