About the NLIU- Justice R.K. Tankha Memorial International Arbitration Moot<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The NLIU-MCA is pleased to announce the\u00a0seventh edition<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0of the\u00a0NLIU-Justice R.K. Tankha Memorial International Arbitration Moot<\/strong>, to be held\u00a0virtually<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0March 10 to 13, 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Moot and its partners<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

This Moot is our flagship event, organized annually in partnership with the Office of Senior Advocate and Member of Parliament \u2013 Mr. Vivek Tankha<\/strong>\u00a0in the memory of late\u00a0<\/strong>Hon\u2019ble Mr. Justice R.K. Tankha. The Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC)<\/strong> is the official institutional partner for the moot. L&L Partners Law Offices<\/strong> (f\/k\/a Luthra & Luthra) and Allen & Gledhill LLP<\/strong> are respectively our National and International Law Firm Partners.\u00a0Jus Mundi<\/strong> is the Official Research Partner for the Competition. The National Forum for Research in Arbitration Law (NFRAL)<\/strong> and Indian Arbitration Law Review (IALR)<\/strong> are the Official Knowledge Partners.\u00a0The friends of the moot include APRAG, BR-VYAP, ENERAP and Tales of the Tribunal etc.<\/p>\n

Awards include cash prizes to the tune of INR 2,40,000<\/strong><\/em>, trophies<\/strong>, and access to various research resources<\/strong>.\u00a0The Winners and the Best Oralist of the\u00a0Preliminary\u00a0and Final Rounds\u00a0will receive internship opportunities from\u00a0L&L Partners,\u00a0SIAC,\u00a0and\u00a0Allen & Gledhill LLP\u00a0<\/strong>respectively.<\/p>\n

For the seventh edition of the Moot, the Case Record\/Moot Problem is being drafted by\u00a0Mr.\u00a0Girish\u00a0Deepak<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Mr. Nishant Vasanth.\u00a0<\/strong>Mr.\u00a0Deepak\u00a0obtained a master\u2019s degree in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) from Geneva. He is presently pursuing a PhD at the University of Vienna. His primary areas of focus are International Arbitration, Trade and Investment Law.\u00a0<\/strong>Mr. Vasanth recently finished his stint as a full time Law Clerk and Research Assistant<\/strong> at the Supreme Court of India<\/strong>. He is currently pursuing master\u2019s in International Litigation and Arbitration at the prestigious University of Cambridge.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Moot has the distinction of being the most participated and sought-after moot in India. In the past years, the Moot has attracted participation from premier national and international universities.<\/p>\n
