role=\"presentation\">The Central Government in exercise of powers conferred by sections 6, 8 and 25 of the Environment (Protection) Act,\u00a0 <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">1986 <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">makes the following Plastic Waste Management (Second Amendment) Rules, 2021 to amend the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink\/TF0bvIcw\">Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016.<\/a><\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"page1R_mcid432\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">In the Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016, in rule 4, in sub<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">rule (<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">1), for clause (b), the following clause <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">shall be substituted<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">:\u00a0<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 40px;\"><span id=\"page7R_mcid1\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">\u201c(b) carry bags made of recycled plastic or products made of recycled plastic can be used for storing, <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">carrying, dispensing, or packaging ready to eat or drink food stuff <span style=\"color: #008080;\">subject to <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #008080;\"> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">the notification of appropriate <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">standards and regulation under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (34 of 2006) by the Food Safety and <\/span><\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Standards Authority of
