The main objective of the Society is to develop up-to-date learning opportunities in this field by organizing a series of fantastic events.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Dialogue is a research-driven think-tank working on the intersection of technology, society, and public policy. By facilitating informed policy debates at various levels, it aims to drive a progressive narrative in India\u2019s policy discourse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>About the competition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The evolving dynamics of the internet and the impact of technology on society makes it crucial to revisit the traditional competition law frameworks and engage in a more targeted evidence-based policy making that is both consumer friendly and inclusive of the granular sensitivities of this ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To hear your views on these issues, the Law and Technology Society is excited to invite your contributions to the Essay Writing Competition 2021, which we are organizing in collaboration with The Dialogue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Theme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Essay Writing Competition 2021 seeks to encourage the participants to engage in out-of-box thinking and to explore new issues related to <strong>Competition Law in the Digital Space<\/strong>. For this, the organizers cordially invite your entries on the following theme:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Revisiting traditional antitrust frameworks to cater to the evolving needs of digital markets<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under this some of the suggestive sub-themes that the students can explore includes:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Evolving business models &amp; their impact on competition in digital space;<\/li>\n<li>Revisiting conventional definitions for targeted policy making;<\/li>\n<li>Assessing suitable merger regulations for digital markets;<\/li>\n<li>Role of competition regulators in the domain of data privacy;<\/li>\n<li>Significance of technical measures like interoperability in addressing anti-competitive effects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Note: <\/em><\/strong><em>The sub-themes are only suggestive and the students are free to choose any other sub-theme that falls within the scope of the main theme.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Rules for the Competition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Word Limit \u2013 3000 to 5000 (excluding footnotes)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Citation \u2013 Oscola 4<sup>th<\/sup> Edition<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Co-authorship Limit &#8211; Maximum of 2 authors<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Important Dates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Last Date of Registration is 30th September, 2021<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Last Date of Submission is 15th October, 2021<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Students\/research scholars enrolled in any UG\/PG\/Ph.D. course from any Indian university are eligible to participate in the competition.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Interested participants are required to <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/Savj9Zhg8yoUu6T7A\">click here<\/a> to register.
