The Amendment exempts Battery Operated Vehicles from the payment of fees for the issue or renewal of registration certificate and assignment of new registration mark.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Rule 89 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, following proviso has been inserted by the amendment:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">\u201cProvided further that, for the Battery Operated Vehicles as defined in clause (u) of rule 2, the items given at Serial number 4 of the below mentioned Table shall be exempted from the
