However, my admiration for Justice Raveendran compels me not to deny myself this opportunity to record my tribute to the eminent judge and to the present work. The writings are the result of deep reflection on the problems of the extant justice delivery system and other contemporary issues of our national life. A long time ago, a British Judge lamented that if Britain’s business methods were as antiquated as its legal methods, it should have been a bankrupt country long ago. I congratulate Justice Raveendran for his excellent comprehensive commentary on some of the serious contemporary issues in our national life. Two interesting chapters, intended for \u201cnew judges\u201d, deserve to be read not only by all judges\u2014old and new\u2014but by lawyers as well.
