PAN is an important chemical intermediate in the plastic industry. The DGTR under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has recommended duty between $40.08- 140.17 per MT on the imports of the chemical intermediate used in the plastic industry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, India had imposed safeguard measure on imports of PAN from Korea pursuant to a bilateral safeguard investigation vide Customs Notification No. 44\/2020-Customs dated December 18, 2020. Accordingly, ADD recommended on import from Korea will be payable after adjusting the safeguard measure already imposed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Ministry of Finance has t o take
