IDIA was envisioned\u00a0by late Prof. (Dr.)\u00a0Shamnad Basheer\u00a0in the year 2010 from\u00a0West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences.\u00a0It is a pan-Indian, student-run movement to train underprivileged students and help them transform into leading\u00a0lawyers\u00a0and community advocates.<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To ensure that the underprivileged communities can empower themselves through legal education, IDIA student volunteers conduct sensitizations across India to:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Spread awareness among underprivileged children about opportunities in pursuing law as a career<\/li>\n<li>Select promising students and provide training for law entrance examinations, including the\u00a0Common Law Admission Test\u00a0(CLAT)<\/li>\n<li>Provide financial aid and mentorship to underprivileged children once they secure an admission to a leading\u00a0law school.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #202122; font-family: sans-serif;\">The different chapters of IDIA\u00a0 also organize fundraising events for the IDIA Charitable Trust.<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>About the Event :\u00a0<\/b>As a part of its fundraising initiative, the Assam Chapter of Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to Legal Education (IDIA) is all excited to present IDIA FUNFEST 2021. The fundraiser consists of six online quizzes and one online essay competition.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">1. Inquest : General Quiz, 18th March, 6PM-7PM<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. Wafer and Wayfarer : Food &amp; Travel Quiz, 18 March, 8PM-9PM<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">3. Lights, Camera, Action : Pop Quiz, 19th March, 6PM-7PM<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">4. Amicus Curiae : Legal Quiz, 19th March, 8PM-9PM<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">5. Here We Go : Sports Quiz, 20th March, 6PM-7PM<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">6. Balance Sheet : Biz Quiz, 20th March, 8PM-9PM<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">7.
