The Amendment Act modifies the provision relating to annual leave with wages in Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1961.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Amendment modifies the proviso under Section 15 of the Act and states that the total number of the days of leave that may be carried forward to a succeeding year shall not exceed forty five days.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Before the Amendment, the proviso stated that-<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">&#8220;the total number of the days of leave that may be carried forward to a succeeding year shall not exceed thirty days in the case of an adult and forty days in the case of a young person&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On February 19, 2021, the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments (Second Amendment) Act, 2020 has come into force.
