About the Institute<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, was established by the State Legislature of Punjab by passing the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab Act, 2006 (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006).\u00a0<\/strong>The Act incorporated a University of Law of national stature in Punjab, thereby fulfilling the need for a Centre of Excellence in legal education in the modern era of globalization and liberalization.<\/p>\n

About the Blog<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0RGNUL International Humanitarian Law and Conflict Studies Blog (RIHLCS)\u00a0has been established in 2020 and is under the aegis of the RGNUL Centre for Advanced Study in International Humanitarian Law (CASH). The blog will deal exclusively with subjects and topics pertaining to the aspects of International Humanitarian Law (IHL), a field of law that is applied to an area with ongoing armed conflict.<\/p>\n

About the Centre<\/strong><\/p>\n

Centre for Advanced Study in International Humanitarian Law (CASH) is an esteemed research centre of Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, which is dedicated to research in the field of IHL. It aims to ensure that future leaders and opinion-makers understand the practical relevance of the subject of IHL and have a thorough knowledge of its basic principles.<\/p>\n

Theme<\/strong><\/p>\n

Topics related to various contemporary issue of IHL with respect to following themes, are open for submission-<\/p>\n

  2. Artificial Intelligence, Peace and Security<\/li>\n
  3. COVID- 19 Global Humanitarian Responses\/ Role of Humanitarian Agencies in COVID- 19<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Practitioners, academicians, students of law, or anyone who wishes to express an opinion on IHL issues can submit their manuscripts.<\/p>\n

    Submission guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. The subject and theme of the blog should deal with any contemporary issue of International Humanitarian Law. We expect the submissions to be of interpretive, exploratory, and non-descriptive style.<\/li>\n
    2. All submissions must be in\u00a0Times New Roman, Font size 12, Spacing 1.5, Justified. The word limit should range between 800-1500 words.<\/li>\n
    3. A maximum of two-level headings is allowed.<\/li>\n
    4. References should be incorporated in the body of the article itself through hyperlinks. No endnotes or footnotes shall\u00a0be used.<\/li>\n
    5. Co-authorship of a\u00a0maximum of 2\u00a0is permitted.<\/li>\n
    6. We follow a strict\u00a0no-plagiarism policy. Articles with more than\u00a010 per cent\u00a0plagiarized content shall be summarily rejected.\u00a0\u00a0The author(s) bear sole responsibility for the accuracy of facts, opinions, or views stated in the submitted Manuscript.<\/li>\n
    7. The manuscripts must be e-mailed at\u00a0rgnulcash@gmail.com<\/a>. All entries should be submitted in\u00a0.doc\u00a0or\u00a0.docx\u00a0format and the file must be titled\u00a0\u201cCASH Write Up\u201d. The subject of the e-mail should be titled\u00a0\u201cSubmission for CASH Blog- NAME OF THE AUTHOR\u201d.<\/li>\n
    8. The manuscript should be accompanied by a cover letter specifying the author\u2019s name, year of study, institute, and contact information [Authors are requested to not put their names anywhere in the main manuscript]. This document must be titled\u00a0\u201cCover Letter\u201d.<\/li>\n
    9. Guest authors should include, in addition to the above information, a short bio in the cover letter and attach a photograph with the mail.<\/li>\n
    10. The body of the mail should contain a short brief about the blog (maximum of 100 words).<\/li>\n
    11. Submissions for the blog shall be considered on a rolling basis. The Editorial Board may take up to\u00a015 days for the review of submissions.<\/li>\n
    12. The Editorial Board reserves the right to summarily reject any topic that has already been covered on our blog. The Editorial Board also has full discretion to reject articles at any stage.<\/li>\n
    13. Cross-publications are not allowed.<\/li>\n
    14. Copyright of all published blog posts shall remain with the Centre. All Moral Rights shall vest with the author(s).<\/li>\n
    15. While submitting the blog, the author shall mention a declaration\u00a0in the mail as follows:\u00a0\u201cIf selected for publication, the author gives the copyright of the work to the Centre. The author also declares that this is the original and unpublished work of the author(s)\u201d.<\/li>\n
    16. In relation to any dispute, the decision of the Editorial Board shall be final and binding.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
