The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has accredited the University with Grade \u2018A\u2019. School\u00a0<em>of<\/em>\u00a0Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is an institute imparting world-class legal education, not only to students from various parts of the country but also hosts a strong international students\u2019 representation. Over the years, CHRIST has risen to be one of the most prominent institutes in the country. School\u00a0<em>of<\/em>\u00a0Law, CHRIST has been ranked as one of the Top 20 law colleges in the country by the\u00a0National Institutional Ranking Framework by the\u00a0MHRD\u00a0in 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>About the Competition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Alternative Dispute Resolution Board of School\u00a0<em>of<\/em>\u00a0Law, CHRIST, is gearing up to host its\u00a0<strong>1st National Online\u00a0Med-Arb\u00a0Competition, 2020 (NOMAC)<\/strong>, as a part of its flagship event, the 6<sup>th\u00a0<\/sup>edition of the National\u00a0Alternative Dispute Resolution\u00a0Competition (NADR).\u00a0 The past five editions of SLCU-NADR have witnessed us successfully hosting national\u00a0level Mediation, Negotiation and Client Counselling Competitions. The 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0edition of SLCU-NADR saw 60 different teams, from various top law institutes of the country, battling it out to emerge as the winner of the Competition.\u00a0To institute a change, the Board has decided to host a National Level Med-Arb Competition for the academic year 2020-21. The Med-Arb Competition\u00a0is an amalgamation of Mediation and Arbitration wherein Mediation will be followed by Arbitration on the same problem on\u00a0law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The aim of this Competition is to help budding law students to get accustomed to the ADR mechanisms in the legal arena and encourage the proliferation of ADR Mechanisms amongst the legal fraternity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each team will comprise of 3 members in total. The participants\u00a0portraying the role of Client- Counsel in the Mediation rounds will become the Counsels in the Arbitration rounds. The participant portraying the role of a Mediator in the Mediation rounds will become the Arbitrator in the Arbitration rounds<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Competition will be held from\u00a0<strong>30<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0October, 2020, to the 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0November, 2020<\/strong>. School\u00a0<em>of<\/em>\u00a0Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, is proud to have EBC &amp; SCC Online as its Knowledge Partners for the 1st Edition of National Online Med-Arb Competition, 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Only bonafide undergraduate students of Law Colleges\/Universities pursuing a Three Year\/Five Year Degree in law are eligible to participate in the competition. Participation allotments shall be made on the basis of slots re-served from provisional registration for the respective Law College\/University.
