About CIPS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Centre for Intellectual Property Studies, National Law University was established in 2018 with an aim to promote research and studies in the field of Intellectual Property Rights. The Centre also monitors, designs and disseminates various courses and programmes pertaining to training and research in Intellectual Property Rights.<\/p>\n

About the competition<\/strong><\/p>\n

Copyright Societies and Performers\u2019 Societies play a very significant role towards the collection and distribution of revenue from authorized utilization of works and performances. There are many significant issues concerning the working of these institutions.<\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n

CIPS invites original, genuine and unpublished contributions from students pursuing 3-year LL.B. programme\/5-year integrated LL.B. programme or LL.M. programme in any recognized university in India.<\/p>\n

Essay Topic<\/strong><\/p>\n

The essay topic shall be based on the theme \u2018Copyright Societies and Performers\u2019 Rights Societies in India\u2019<\/strong>. Any pertinent research question related to the theme may be chosen by the author to provide a succinctly worded relevant work (1500 words, excluding footnotes).<\/p>\n

  1. Last Date of Registration: <\/strong>20th<\/sup> September, 2020 (by 11:59 pm)<\/li>\n
  2. Last Date of Submission of Manuscripts: <\/strong>27th<\/sup> September, 2020 (by 11:59 pm)<\/li>\n
  3. Declaration of Results: <\/strong>10th<\/sup> October, 2020<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Prize Information<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. The first, second and third prizes are worth \u20b95000\/-, \u20b93000\/- and \u20b92000\/- respectively.<\/li>\n
    2. Top 6 submissions including the prize-winning essays will be awarded e-certificates of Merit. Their entries will also be published on The NLUJ Centre for Intellectual Property Studies Blog to be launched soon.<\/li>\n
    3. All Entries will be awarded e-certificates of participation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Registration Process<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. The students shall register by paying a fee of Rs. 500 at http:\/\/www.nlujodhpur.ac.in\/fee.php<\/strong><\/a> at \u2018Payment Other than Semester Fee\u2019<\/strong> specifying the purpose of payment as \u2018CIPS Essay Competition\u2019<\/strong> latest by September 20th<\/sup>,2020.<\/li>\n
      2. The payment receipt shall be emailed at cips@nlujodhpur.ac.in<\/a>. The subject of the e-mail shall be \u2018Registration Receipt: Essay Competition\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
