{"id":234249,"date":"2020-08-20T13:48:09","date_gmt":"2020-08-20T08:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=234249"},"modified":"2020-08-19T23:05:27","modified_gmt":"2020-08-19T17:35:27","slug":"call-for-blogs-nls-business-law-review-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2020\/08\/20\/call-for-blogs-nls-business-law-review-blog\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Blogs | NLS Business Law Review (Blog)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Board of Editors of the <em>National Law School Business Law Review <\/em>is pleased to invite original and unpublished articles for publication on its blog.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>About the Blog<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong><em>NLS Business Law Review (blog)<\/em><\/strong> is an initiative by the National Law School of India University to recognise and foster academic research and scholarship in corporate and commercial law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Mandate<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The blog intends to recognise and foster academic research and scholarship in commercial law by examining the myriad regulatory frameworks, domestic or international, that impact doing business in India or globally.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The mandate of the NLS Business Law Review thus, inter alia, includes company law, securities and capital markets regulation, banking and finance, taxation, foreign investment, competition law, commercial dispute resolution, contract and commercial law, and employment law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Submission Categories<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The NLSBLR Blog invites contributions in the following categories &#8211;<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Responses to articles published in the journals, including the NLS BLR<\/li>\n<li>Comments on contemporary legal developments relating to business law.<\/li>\n<li>Articles on topics of with respect to ease of doing business in India<\/li>\n<li>Book reviews engaging with recent literary works.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Please note that this is an <em>inclusive list<\/em> and we would be happy to publish other pieces as long as they fall within our mandate specified above.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Guidelines for Submissions<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Submissions must be made in electronic form to\u00a0<strong><u>nlsblrblog@gmail.com<\/u><\/strong> under\u00a0the subject heading \u2018NLSBLR Blog Submission: &lt;Submission Category&gt;\u2019. Articles for the blog must be between 1,000-2,500 words.<\/li>\n<li>All submissions must be in MS Word format (.doc) or (.docx), with Times New Roman font (Main text: size 12 and double spaced, footnotes: size 10 and single-spaced).<\/li>\n<li>All manuscripts must be accompanied by a covering letter with the name(s) of the author(s), institution\/affiliation, the title of the manuscript, contact information and the author\u2019s\/authors\u2019 by-line of not more than 70 words.<\/li>\n<li>Co-authorship (up to 2 authors) is permitted.<\/li>\n<li>No biographical information or references, including the name(s) of the author(s), affiliation(s) and acknowledgements should be included in the text of the manuscript, file name or document properties. All such information may be incorporated in the covering letter accompanying the manuscripts.<\/li>\n<li>In line with the informal nature of the blog, the NLSBLR prefers the use of hyperlinks as a method of citation. However, in the event a source cannot be hyperlinked, the same can be cited as a footnote.<\/li>\n<li>Submissions are accepted for publication on the condition that they do not infringe the copyright or any other rights of any third parties.<\/li>\n<li>Submissions made to NLSBLR shall be on an exclusive basis and <strong><u>must not be concurrently under consideration by any other publication.<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Submissions must fall within the general mandate of the journal, which can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/nlsblr.com\/submissionguidelines\/\">HERE<\/a> .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Timeline and Procedure<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We accept contributions to the BLR Forum on a rolling basis. NLSBLR strives to ensure a speedy and efficient review process. We follow a system of\u00a0two rounds of review by the Editorial Board for publication in the BLR Forum. Authors should be prepared to make suitable changes to their articles as required by the Editorial Board before publication.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Conditions of Publication<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please note that submissions not conforming to these guidelines may be returned or rejected. While we strive to provide substantive feedback for every submission we receive, it may not always be possible to do so, given the large number of submissions.
