The mission of the GNLU Law and Economics Centre (GLEC) is to create awareness among the general public at large about this nascent field of study which can play a crucial role in making the Indian Legal System more efficient. In furtherance of this objective, this year, the Centre is organising the\u00a0<strong>3<sup>rd <\/sup>All India Essay Competition on \u2018Law and Economics\u2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This comes out as a great opportunity for the students to research as per their interests in Law and make an economic analysis of the same and get it published with the one of its kind Journal in India (The GNLU Journal of Law and Economics ISSN 2582-2667). The deadline for the same is September 15<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020, 11:59 PM.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Registration Link click <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/48DAjeD9mMPvvEDN7\">HERE<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>THEMES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The essay must cover one or, more of the following themes:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>COVID-19 and the Role of a Welfare State<\/li>\n<li>COVID-19, Surveillance, and Privacy<\/li>\n<li>COVID-19 and the state of Public Healthcare<\/li>\n<li>COVID-19 and Employment Law\/ Labour Law<\/li>\n<li>COVID-19 and Intellectual Property Rights<\/li>\n<li>COVID-19 and International Liability<\/li>\n<li>COVID-19 and Criminal Justice Responses<\/li>\n<li>COVID-19 and Corporate Law<\/li>\n<li>COVID-19 and the Global Economy<\/li>\n<li>COVID-19 and the Role of International Organisations in<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pandemics<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"11\">\n<li>COVID-19 and Competition Law<\/li>\n<li>COVID-19, International Trade Law, and International<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cooperation<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>SUBMISSION GUIDELINES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>The essay should be written in English only. The competition is open to the students who are currently pursuing graduation or post graduation in bonafide Universities.<\/li>\n<li>Only one essay per participant may be submitted. Multiple Submissions will lead to disqualification.<\/li>\n<li>Co-authorship to a maximum of 2 authors is permitted. In the case of co-authorship, the registration form should be filled for each other.<\/li>\n<li>The students can\u2019t enter as sole author and co-author. It will lead to multiple submissions and therefore disqualification.<\/li>\n<li>Only original essays will be considered for the competition. No part of it should be published earlier nor should it be under consideration for publication or a contest elsewhere. Moreover, any form of plagiarism will result in disqualification. Neither GNLU nor CLE will be responsible for any act of plagiarism. Any identification mark in the essay will also lead to disqualification.<\/li>\n<li>The Centre may choose one or more essays for publication in the 3rd Volume of the GNLUJournal of Law and Economics.<\/li>\n<li>Registration form is to be filled online only. The registration link is: <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/48DAjeD9mMPvvEDN7\">HERE<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Submissions will be made at <a href=\"mailto:cle@gnlu.ac.in\">cle@gnlu.ac.in<\/a>with subject \u2018Law and Economics Essay- Author\u2019s Name\u2019 latest by September 15<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020, 11:59 P.M. No late submission will be accepted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>FORMATTING GUIDELINES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Length of the essay should be between 3500-6000 words, excluding footnotes.<\/li>\n<li>Submissions must be made in Microsoft office (doc,\/docx.) formats only.<\/li>\n<li>The paper should be free from all grammatical and spelling errors.<\/li>\n<li>The body of the manuscript must be in the font \u201cTimes New Roman\u201d font size 12, line spacing 1.5 and alignment \u201cjustify\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>All footnotes must be in the font \u201cTimes New Roman\u201d, font size 10, line spacing 1. All submission must follow the \u201cThe Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20<sup>th <\/sup>Edition)\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<strong>There are three
