Allahabad High Court:<\/strong> A Division Bench of Govind Mathur, CJ and Saumitra Dayal Singh, J., addressed the petition filed by a social activist seeking order to restrain the respondents from the “Bhoomi Pujan” for laying down foundation stone of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya.<\/p>\n

Respondent submitted that about three hundred people have been invited for the said purpose which may cause violation of the protocol prescribed by the Central and State Government for the purpose of maintaining social and physical distancing to combat COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

Bench held that the petition is solely based on assumptions and no foundation for apprehending violation of the prescribed protocol was found.<\/p>\n

Court while dismissing the petition stated that it expects the organizers and the Uttar Pradesh Government to ensure that all the prescribed protocol applicable for social and physical distancing are followed.
