The Centre aims to serve as a research and training center in the field of environmental law and policy. It further aims to initiate and promote regional, national as well as international collaboration, fund-raising for environmental cause. The center intends to achieve the following\u00a0objectives:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To inculcate environmental awareness and sensitivity about the various environmental-related issues among the various\u00a0stakeholders;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To impart comprehensive knowledge in environmental law and\u00a0policy;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To develop an understanding on key environmental issues relating to national and international importance;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To develop practical skills to facilitate effective implementation of environmental\u00a0laws;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To upgrade the competencies of various professionals about the environmental issues and its\u00a0protection;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To conduct various theme-based activities on the protection of an environment and sustainability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><strong>ABOUT THE NEWSLETTER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The CEDM newsletter \u201cHPNLU GREEN GAZETTE\u201d endeavors to create a space which fosters independent\u00a0academic\u00a0thought,\u00a0inculcate\u00a0a\u00a0culture\u00a0of\u00a0research\u00a0and\u00a0ignite\u00a0conversations\u00a0on\u00a0matters of environmental jurisprudence and environmental\u00a0values.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">With the object of furthering discussion on environmental jurisprudence and values, the CEDM- Newsletter welcomes submissions from students, academicians, law practitioners &amp; every environmental cause enthusiast on\u00a0<strong>rolling basis.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><strong>THEME<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Any piece work that is related to environmental cause and environmental jurisprudence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><strong>STRUCTURE OF NEWSLETTER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The Green Gazette is a quarterly newsletter which consists five parts<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Green Report:\u00a0<\/strong>This section of the newsletter deals with articles which are in\u00a0general related to environment other than\u00a0law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Green Clause:\u00a0<\/strong>This section deals with articles which are exclusively related to environmental\u00a0law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><strong>The\u00a0Green\u00a0Column:\u00a0<\/strong>This\u00a0section\u00a0deals\u00a0with\u00a0short\u00a0writings\u00a0which\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0combination\u00a0of\u00a0both the legal and non-legal aspects of environmental\u00a0issues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><strong>The\u00a0Green\u00a0Rhyme:\u00a0<\/strong>This\u00a0section\u00a0gives\u00a0you\u00a0an\u00a0opportunity\u00a0to\u00a0showcase\u00a0your\u00a0poem\u00a0writing skills related to environmental\u00a0issues<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Green Challenge:\u00a0<\/strong>This section gives you an opportunity to showcase your painting and photography skills related to environmental\u00a0issues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><strong>GUIDELINES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The\u00a0entries\u00a0(short-articles,\u00a0columns,\u00a0poems,\u00a0paintings\u00a0&amp;\u00a0photographs)\u00a0must\u00a0be\u00a0the\u00a0original work of the author(s) and must not have been sent for consideration at any other place for presentation or publication. The work should not be\u00a0plagiarized.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Co-authorship up to two authors is allowed for the\u00a0articles.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The short-articles\/columns\/poems must be submitted in an MS-Word document and painting\/photographs must be submitted in .jpg\/.png form\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:cedm@hpnlu.ac.in\">to\u00a0cedm@hpnlu.ac.in<\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The article must include a brief description of the\u00a0author.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The authors shall receive an acknowledgement email on the receipt of the article by the Editorial\u00a0Board.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The copyright of the articles shall automatically transfer to CEDM-HPNLU, Shimla editorial\u00a0board.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In\u00a0relation\u00a0to\u00a0all\u00a0the\u00a0disputes,\u00a0the\u00a0decision\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0<strong>editorial\u00a0board\u00a0<\/strong>shall\u00a0be\u00a0final\u00a0and\u00a0binding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><strong>SPECIFIC GUIDELINES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The Green Report:\u00a0<\/strong>This section of the newsletter deals with articles which are in\u00a0general related to environment other than\u00a0law.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We prefer an article that is between\u00a0<strong>1500-2000 words<\/strong>.
