{"id":230847,"date":"2020-06-13T09:56:58","date_gmt":"2020-06-13T04:26:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=230847"},"modified":"2023-10-03T15:45:33","modified_gmt":"2023-10-03T10:15:33","slug":"coronavirus-mha-notification-for-unlock-1-restricts-movement-of-people-to-prevent-congregation-but-restriction-does-not-apply-to-buses-trucks-goods-carriers-plying-on-state-national-highways","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2020\/06\/13\/coronavirus-mha-notification-for-unlock-1-restricts-movement-of-people-to-prevent-congregation-but-restriction-does-not-apply-to-buses-trucks-goods-carriers-plying-on-state-national-highways\/","title":{"rendered":"Coronavirus | MHA notification for Unlock-1 restricts movement of people to prevent congregation but restriction does not apply to buses, trucks, goods carriers plying on State &#038; National Highways"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Home Secretary clarifies on the movement of persons and vehicles as issued vide the Ministry of Home Affairs Guidelines for Phased Reopening of the Country, dated 30-05-2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In accordance to the said guidelines, movement of individuals shall remain strictly prohibited between 9 PM to 5 AM throughout the country, except for essential activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">It has been noted that, some States\/UTs are restricting movement of persons and vehicles plying on highways between 9 PM to 5 AM, which is hindering their passage.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Clarification<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The purpose of restricting movement of individuals, except for essential activities, between 9 PM 5 AM, is primarily intended to prevent congregation of persons and to ensure social distancing. The restriction does not apply to instances of loading\/unloading of goods (as part of supply chains and logistics); buses carrying persons and trucks and goods carriers plying on State and National Highways; or persons travelling to their destinations after disembarking from buses, trains and flights.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Accordingly States\/UTs are advised not to prevent such movement as mentioned above.
